Bill is a native of Birmingham, Alabama. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Vanderbilt University in 1981, and a Masters of Divinity from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University in 1985. He has served eight churches in the Southwest Texas and Rio Texas Annual Conferences over thirty seven years of ministry. He has served churches in San Antonio, McAllen, Sterling City, Del Rio, Austin, San Angelo and Sonora.
Bill is married to the the Reverend Sheree Maberry Harris who is a retired Elder in the Annual Conference. They have two grown sons, Will and Lincoln, both of whom live in San Antonio.
In ministry, Bill is passionate about reaching out to persons of all ages in the community with the love and grace of Christ that gives new life.
Bill’s interests include reading fiction and history, and he enjoys movies and sports, and spending time with family and friends.
